Taraba YOWICAN Declares 2 Days Fasting And Prayers For Lasting Peace

The leadership of Youth Wing  of the Christian Association of Nigeria YOWICAN Taraba state in efforts to ensure peaceful coexistence amongst communities in Takum, Ussa,  Karim Lamido Local Governments and some parts of the state, the Wing has declared a two days intensive prayers and fasting for peace to reign.
In a statement signed ænd made available to SUMMIT POST, by the state Secretary, Jideofor Benjamin said:
“The leadership saw the need to intensify prayer and fasting over the insecurity, and crises that is interrupting the peace of the state at this critical time of transition.
He said that during the period, there will be prayers for complete peace to return to the southern zone, most especially in Takum Ussa,Yangtu special development area, and the entire LGAs in the southern zone, Karim lamido LGA,  the state and the Country as a whole.
“Let’s pray for a successful transition programme ranging from the national down to the state. Let every secret plan of the wicked to distract the transition programme be exposed.
“Let’s pray for the incoming Governor  Lt.Col. Agbu Kefas Rtd that the Lord will grant him  more knowledge and wisdom as he takes over the mantle of  leadership in the state.
“Let’s also pray that as he works towards selecting his cabinet,God will give him credible men and women that have the fear of God who will support his vision and agenda to deliver to the good people of Taraba state.
“Let’s  pray for Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku as he exit office,that in his area of weaknesses may he obtain God’s mercy.
“Let’s pray for the sick one, the widow and the widower, let’s cancel every evil arrow of premature death facing our youths  in Jesus mighty name Amen.
“Let’s pray for the youths that are yearning for marriage in this year , may God grant them their heart desires and let’s break every obstacle hindering them from getting married in Jesus mighty name Amen.”
The statement further explain that the prayer session will commence tomorrow Thursday 25th to 26th May, 2023 and will be rounded up on Friday 26th May,2023 at 5pm  at the CAN Secretariat, Jalingo.
It requested  Christian Youths in the state to adhere  and participate unfailingly.
Recall that insecurity ranging from clashes between some ethnic groups recently occurred in some parts of the state, leading to lost of lives and properties thereby necessitating the prayers.
