The President of the Nigeria Diaspora League, Dr. Fresh Onuoha, has described Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the “oxygen Nigeria needs now.”
In a piece written from the UK, Onuoha said, “The very Oxygen that Nigeria requires to move to the next level is Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
He praised Tinubu’s courage, focus, and nation-building audacity, stating that “it takes the courage of Tinubu to break the shackles and grip of the dreaded oil cabals who once bestride this nation like colossus.”
He noted that the mess left behind by former President Buhari will take decades to clear, but Tinubu is tackling the challenges head-on.
Tinubu’s achievements, according to Dr. Onuoha, include the deregulation of the oil sector and the reform of the oil and gas industry. “He dismantled the cabal and brought a realistic reform in the oil and gas sector, bringing to life our dilapidated refineries – a task past governments found impossible,” Dr. Onuoha wrote.
The public affairs analyst also commended Tinubu’s efforts in the power sector, stating that “he deregulated the power sector, making it possible for states and big organisations to take the generation of electricity in their hands.”
As a result, Dr. Onuoha reported that “over 7.0 megawatts of non-grid electricity is being generated in our country, and about 10 megawatts under construction.” He believes this will be the foundation for a new industrial revolution in Nigeria.
Dr. Onuoha concluded that Tinubu’s leadership is crucial to Nigeria’s progress, and any attempt to remove him through coalition would be unwise. “It’s foolhardy to attempt any coalition to remove Tinubu,” he emphasized, adding that Tinubu has a clear roadmap for building a new Nigeria.
