The Ukomu Igala Organisation has announced plans to host a fundraising dinner in Abuja, aimed at mobilising resources for critical community development initiatives.
The event, organised under the auspices of the Igala/Bassa Renaissance Project, is designed to unite sons and daughters of the Igala and Bassa communities, as well as key stakeholders and supporters, in a collective effort to drive regional progress.
Scheduled to take place on March 21 at the Armed Forces Officers’ Mess in Asokoro, the dinner seeks to foster unity while generating substantial financial support for strategic interventions across the communities.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the organisation’s management and made available to journalists on Saturday.
According to the statement, the organisation has set an ambitious target of raising N500 million from the event to fund sustainable development programmes and advance the goals of the renaissance agenda.
“This initiative represents a significant step toward empowering our communities and preserving our shared heritage. We call on traditional rulers, professionals, and all well-meaning Nigerians to join us in supporting this cause,” the statement read.
The organisers emphasised that the funds would be channelled toward impactful projects aimed at improving living standards and fostering long-term development in Igala and Bassa communities.
