FCT Teachers Issue Ultimatum: Implement New Minimum Wage or Face Indefinite Protest

The spokesperson to the national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Comrade Daboikiabo Z. Warmate, has criticized those who are calling out senator Samuel Anyanwu for taking pictures with Barr. Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister.

The PDP National Secretary’s aide while fielding questions from newsmen on Thursday in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital, regarding the viral pictures said, ‘he that must come to equity must come with clean hands.

According to Warmate, “all those attacking the national secretary of our great party most distinguished Senator Samuel Anyanwu for taking pictures with his bossom friend the FCT Minister, should ask their sponsors or principals this question. If they have severed relationships with all their friends and business associates that are of different political parties and interests since they joined the party? What crime has Sen. Anyanwu committed by taking pictures with a fellow PDP leader like himself and a friend?” Let me ask, is it now a crime to relate with Wike?”

Comrade Warmate  said the relationship between Senator Anyanwu and Minister Wike, dates back to when both of them were local government chairmen and executive members of ALGON at the state and national levels.

“A relationship that has spanned over two decades is what we are talking about here.”

He further say that, in 2023 when PDP went against its own constitution as amended in 2017, section 7(3c), which led to the then governor of Rivers State his excellency Barr. Nyesom Wike, in protest led five governors to work against PDP in the 2023 presidential election, but irrespective of Senator Anyanwu’s relationship with Barr. Wike, he didn’t join the G5, he rather worked for PDP interest not minding the unfair treatment meted on the southern region and Wike.

“If you can recall in 2023 our great party went against its own constitution as amended in 2017, section 7(3c), when the presidential ticket was thrown open rather than it being zoned to the south and the major victim of this constitutional bypass was the southern region and the then governor of Rivers State and present minister of the FCT. But even though he didn’t like what was done to his region and his bossom friend, the most distinguished senator Samuel Anyanwu, stood with our great party and all its candidates all through. He is a principled leader that knows when to draw the lines.”

“The way we play politics these days is quite disheartening, a situation where brothers don’t talk to each other because of their different political affiliation is unfortunate.” He stressed.

Warmate said the mutual political suspicion is unreasonably high. “In those days it was not so. I recall my late father was a member of the National Republican Congress (NRC) and my late elder brother via the influence of one of my uncles became a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), we leaved and ate together peacefully”.

Comrade Warmate, accused PDP leaders behind this propaganda against the National Secretary of even associating more with APC members secretly at the expense of PDP electoral fortune.

The comrade who brilliantly defended the national secretary said, If Sen. Anyanwu taking pictures with Minister Wike means that, he is working against our great party! That means majority of our leaders have since been working against PDP. For example our great party’s 2023 presidential candidate and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who has visited and also have in audience Prominent APC chieftains likes, Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, popularly known as Binani, the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Adamawa state and Hon. Gudaji Kazaure. He also has met and taken pictures with peter obi of the labour party Nasr El rufia of the SDP and many more. Does that make Atiku Abubakar a member of all those political parties or is working against PDP.”

The national secretary media aide advises the sponsors and executioners of this propaganda and blackmail to channel their energy into productive ventures like joining the national secretary Senator Anyanwu and national chairman Ambassador Damagum, to work for the unity, peace, progress and electoral victory for
the party.

He pleaded with PDP members to keep faith with the party not minding the interest wriggling that has constituted distractions for a while.
