A woman who narrowly missed boarding the ill-fated Air India flight that crashed near Ahmedabad, killing hundreds, described feeling “numb” after learning of the tragedy. The flight, bound for London’s Gatwick Airport, went down shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad Airport, with 244 people on board.
“I was supposed to fly on that plane, but I missed it by 10 minutes. I’m still in shock. I keep thinking about what could have been,” said the woman, who wished to remain anonymous. “When I heard the news, I felt numb. It’s like I’m in a daze. I’m still trying to process everything.”
The woman explained that she had arrived at the airport late due to traffic, and by the time she reached the gate, the flight had already departed. “I’m just grateful that I’m alive. It’s a wake-up call for all of us,” she said, fighting back tears.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and authorities are working to determine what led to the tragic incident.
