2023: Gov Sani Bello Spits Fire, Warns Against Campaign Of Calumny, Thuggery
Niger State Governor and Chairman North Central States Governors Forum (NCSGF), Abubakar Sani Bello has assured that people would remain central and the main focus of the APC-led administration in the state and at the center.
In his New Year message to the state, the Governor noted that based on its performance thus far, the ruling party remains the most viable option for the citizens ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The Governor maintained that, although the administration is winding down, the government remains focused and committed to completing most of the ongoing projects stressing that “service delivery, improvement of the general living conditions and well-being of the people remains sacrosanct”.
Although the outgoing year was tough in terms of security and economic challenges, the Governor urged Nigerlites to remain hopeful because the challenges are surmountable.
Amidst heightened political activities ahead of the 2023 general elections, Governor Sani Bello warned against campaigns of calumny and thuggery emphasizing the need for issues-based campaigns among all political gladiators and party loyalists.
The Governor also acknowledged the declining banditry activities across the troubled parts of the state and paid glowing tribute to the gallantry of the Armed Forces and other security agencies for the sustained fight against the menace of banditry and wanton kidnappings that bedeviled the state.
While wishing citizens a blissful New Year, Governor Sani Bello prayed for the sustenance of peace and unity in the state and country stressing that the collective prosperity of a people was uncompromisingly dependent on their unity and peaceful coexistence.
“As we enter the New Year, let us look up to 2023 with hope and remain tolerant and committed to the collective ideals that would make the new year a promising and fulfilled one”, the Governor stated.
