…PDP is poised for good governance – Sen. Jarigbe

Chairman of the Cross River State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Barrister Vena Ikem has charged members of the newly inaugurated local government campaign committees to gear up for the onerous task of installing a people-oriented government committed to adding value to humanity while promoting the tenets of socio-economic development in order to restore the eroded glory of the state come 2023.
Vena, who spoke at Senator Jarigbe Mini Stadium Ogoja while formally inaugurating members of the Local Government campaign committees from the Northern Senatorial District enjoined them to embark on aggressive grassroots enlightenment campaign to counter the deceit orchestrated by pathological liars who have sacrificed their destinies for a mold of bread under the gimmicks of “food on the table” in a desperate bid to perpetuate the havoc being wrecked in the state by the All Progressives Congress APC as spearheaded by Governor Ben Ayade
According to him, it’s pathetic that an administration that bandied itself as youth-friendly with the mantra of orienting the younger generation towards future leadership roles has ended up packaging a bunch of modern days “Gobbels” who specializes in lying for a living,by churning out propaganda to defend the woeful performance of their principal whose government has opted to remain aloof to the plight ,needs and aspirations of our people”
“Therefore, we need to comb the nooks and crannies of our wards, engaging our people, and dispelling the lies of a Senate Presidency, moribund audio projects, the rush hour appointments and contracts carefully crafted to sway the minds of our peoples,we can not reward a monumental failure with a ticket seat”
He stated “today’s event mark another milestone as we strive towards the enormous task of reclaiming our dear state from a common adversary who is hell bend on destroying the fibers of our human existence while annexing every source of our common patrimony as a family inheritance, the assignment is huge but given the caliber of membership in these campaign committees and above all, with the Almighty God on our side, victory is guaranteed”
The Party chairman who warned against complacency congratulated members for making the list and sued for teamwork and effective collaboration between committees to guarantee optimum results.
Speaking, the Senator for Cross River North, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe remarked that the cream of candidates paraded by the People’s Democratic Party in Cross River represents the hope for the restoration of the enviable glory of the state battered by the present administration.
In his words” we in the PDP are poised for good governance, our state is on the precipice, we have lost our glorious track record set by Donald Duke and Liyel Imoke. The Senate election in Cross River North is a contest between light and darkness, audio and visible projects, an emperor with a penchant for land grabbing and a servant leader, the truths and fallacies. We must mobilize our people to choose right. We are at a crossroads, any wrong choice, our next generation is doomed. Our generation must never be conquered by bandits and scammers in the corridors of power. Enough is enough”
The event was graced by stakeholders, party chieftains, PDP candidates vying for various elective posts, royal fathers, market women, and thousands of party loyalists.
