The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Senator Ahmed Wadada, has urged party members who lost out in the recent primaries to remain loyal and united as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
Wadada, who represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, made the appeal on Monday during a press briefing held in Lafia, the state capital.
He emphasized that the APC remains a broad-based political platform capable of accommodating differing views and ambitions, adding that internal cohesion would be crucial ahead of the next election cycle.
According to him, his administration vision, if elected, would be anchored on transparency, accountability, inclusiveness, and performance-driven governance.
He appealed directly to aggrieved aspirants, urging them not to abandon the party over internal disagreements.
“The APC remains a large and accommodating family, strong enough to embrace our diverse aspirations and opinions,” Wadada said.
“We must avoid creating divisions where unity is required. What lies ahead is a greater task, preparing for the 2027 elections and sustaining the progress we have made in development, peace, stability, and prosperity in Nasarawa State.”
He added that his government would focus on improving citizens’ welfare, strengthening institutions, expanding economic opportunities, and empowering youths, women, farmers, and entrepreneurs while creating a business-friendly environment for investment and growth.
Wadada also outlined his development blueprint known as the HEARTS Agenda, which he described as a people-centred policy framework designed to drive sustainable development in the state.
The agenda covers Human Capital Development, Economic Enhancement, Agriculture, Rural Transformation, Technology and Investment, and Security.
He explained that the plan is aimed at consolidating existing progress while opening new pathways for innovation, prosperity, and inclusive development across all communities.
“Our objective is to ensure that governance delivers impact to every citizen, regardless of location, background, religion, or political affiliation,” he said.
The APC candidate also commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for what he described as exemplary leadership and for fostering unity within the party, noting that the administration had recorded achievements in infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, security, and industrial development.
He further praised President Bola Tinubu for ongoing economic reforms, saying the policies, though challenging, were necessary for long-term national stability and growth.
“As a committed member of the APC, I remain fully supportive of the Federal Government’s efforts toward economic transformation, national unity, and democratic consolidation,” he added.
