2027: Campaign Against Us, Get Your Fingers Broken, Says Borno Commissioner

Borno State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Saina Buba, has threatened to break the fingers of people who campaign against the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a video clip from a campaign organised by the City Boy Movement of President Bola Tinubu, Mr Buba told supporters to follow the APC to “enjoy the honey.

“He added that those who campaign against the party would have their fingers broken.

“We are talking about practical things. No one is big enough to call his name because in politics, one will meet patience, pacification and whip,” he said.

He said he had seen those who insult them on social media and threatened to break their fingers.

“Now the whistle of politics is blown, we are playing politics so we are pacifying people, we are seeing who are insulting us on TikTok but whoever shows us a finger, whoever dares to show us a finger, we will break his finger,” he said.

“This is our government. Follow us and enjoy honey, and those who dare not to follow us will be bullied.

So, we will bring materials and share,” Mr Buba added.Meanwhile, Nigerians have reacted to Mr Buba’s threat online.

A State already ravaged by banditry and terrorists is introducing violence into its politics.

“Another X user, Oni1JoZi (@onli1JoZi), said, “Literally said he’d cut off the fingers of those who point out their lapses and anyone who doesn’t follow them will get a beating.

Your politicians btw.”Abdul-Aziz Na’ibi Abubakar (@jrnaib2) said, “They finally realised that rigging won’t work for them in 2027; they are now threatening to cut off the fingers of those who reject them.

I promise you, VP Shettima will lose Borno State woefully to Atiku in 2027.”
