Critical stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have urged Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu, the party’s 2019 and 2023 gubernatorial candidate, to re-contest for the seat in 2027.
A gathering of stakeholders, comprising women and youths from the 13 electoral wards of Lafia, convened at the PDP secretariat to declare their support for Ombugadu’s re-contest bid in the next general elections.
Abu Agya, Ombugadu’s South zone coordinator, and Safiyanu Angbaku, a PDP chieftain, commended Ombugadu’s performance in the 2023 general elections and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the state to greater heights.
The stakeholders appealed to Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards and vote for credible leaders who would promote peace and meaningful development across the state.
Yahaya Ohinoyi, Ombugadu’s running mate in 2023, expressed happiness over the stakeholders’ intentions and promised to convey their message to him.
