The National Youth Service Corps has assigned 2,050 corps members to Bauchi for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1 orientation exercise.
The NYSC coordinator in the state, Kufre Umoren, said this in an interview on Tuesday in Bauchi.
According to him, registration would be conducted from January 21 to 23, at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Wailo in Ganjuwa LGA.
He said the swearing-in ceremony for the corps members is scheduled for Friday, and the orientation exercise would end on February 10.
Mr Umoren said that each corps member would be allowed into the camp after being adequately certified as genuine graduates.
He said that discreet screening of the corps members would be conducted to prevent intrusions or impersonation.
“Registration dates have been announced to the corps members, and they are advised to adhere strictly to all camp rules and regulations. Defaulters will be sanctioned in accordance with the scheme’s extant rules,” he said.
The scheme also frowned on late-night journeys and urged corps members to stay safe.
The state coordinator consequently tasked corps members with punctuality, diligence, and compliance with the dress code, warning that defaulters would be sanctioned.
