Kaduna APC Member Petitions Party Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities By Bello El-Rufai

A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Nana Hauwa Aliu, has submitted a formal petition to the Kaduna State APC Disciplinary Committee, accusing Bello El-Rufai, the Member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and son of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai of alleged anti-party activities and failure to support the current state leadership.

In the petition addressed to the Chairman of the APC Disciplinary Committee at the party’s state secretariat in Kaduna, Aliu alleged that Bello El-Rufai has consistently failed to acknowledge or promote the achievements of Governor Uba Sani, both online and offline, despite being a ranking party figure in the state.

The complainant highlighted several achievements credited to Governor Uba Sani’s administration, including the construction of urban roads to improve connectivity, distribution of free fertilizers, tractors and pesticides to farmers, provision of free housing for victims of insecurity, construction of hospitals across local government areas, and a reported reduction in insecurity-affected areas from ten to two.

Aliu further alleged that the lawmaker has openly or indirectly supported individuals critical of Governor Uba Sani, while allegedly targeting APC members who defend the governor.

She claimed that some party loyalists, including herself and other social media users, have been subjected to harassment and negative portrayals.

The petition also accused Bello El-Rufai of allegedly providing financial support to individuals said to be working against the governor’s image, actions the complainant described as divisive and contrary to the APC’s constitution and principles of party unity.

Calling for urgent intervention, Aliu urged the APC Disciplinary Committee to investigate the allegations and take appropriate disciplinary measures to safeguard the party’s cohesion and electoral fortunes in Kaduna State.

She stated that she is ready to provide screenshots, witness statements and other supporting evidence to aid the investigation.
