Tinubu Submits 2026-2028 MTEF to Senate For Approval

An interest group, Adamawa Progressive Elders’ Council (APEC), has endorsed the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

The forum’s Chairman, Media and Publicity Committee, Ahmad Sajoh, who stated this in a statement on Sunday in Yola, also reaffirmed APEC’s loyalty to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr Sajoh assured of the organisation’s commitment to the unity and progress of the party in the state.

He said that the resolution was reached at a meeting of the forum held on January 17 in Yola.

Mr Sajoh described the forum as an APC support group established following the recommendations of the APC Reconciliation Committee and subsequently adopted by the leaders of the party in Adamawa State.

He stated, “The council was constituted to promote peace, internal harmony, reconciliation and collective strength within the party, with a clear mandate to build a formidable APC structure capable of delivering President Bola Tinubu and all APC candidates in the 2027 electoral cycle.

“The council reaffirmed its absolute loyalty and commitment to APC and to the successful execution of its mandate. The council, comprising prominent APC members drawn from all 21 local government areas of Adamawa State, unanimously joined other notable individuals and groups to endorse President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office in 2027.’’

Mr Sajoh cited Mr Tinubu’s bold leadership, reform agenda and commitment to national development as reasons for the endorsement.

He commended Mr Tinubu for appointing the leader of the party in the state into what he described as one of the most sensitive and strategic positions in government.

Mr Sajoh also expressed the forum’s appreciation for the various federal appointments extended to Adamawa State indigenes.

“As a mark of gratitude, the council resolved to organise a grand rally and reception in honour of all political appointees, in appreciation of the president’s goodwill towards the state,” he said.

Mr Sajoh stated that the organisation further resolved to cascade its activities to the local government and ward levels to strengthen grassroots engagements, facilitate early identification of disputes and ensure prompt conflict resolution before issues escalate.

He stated, “In conclusion, the council expressed profound appreciation to members and supporters who contributed in cash and kind towards the success of the meeting and thanked all attendees for their active participation and dedication to the ideals of the party.’’
