The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State has concluded its primary elections and officially presented its senatorial candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The announcement was made on Sunday in Kaduna by the Chairman of the State Primary Elections Committee, Ladan Salihu, during a press briefing.
Salihu explained that the party had already conducted its presidential and governorship primaries, while the latest exercise covered senatorial districts, House of Representatives seats, and selected state assembly positions.
He said the conduct of the exercise reflected the party’s commitment to transparency, fairness, and internal democracy in the selection of its candidates.
According to him, all candidates who emerged from the process were duly elected in line with ADC guidelines and will represent the party in the 2027 elections.
He formally confirmed that the party had concluded its selection process across all senatorial districts in the state.
For Kaduna North Senatorial District, Returning Officer Ibrahim Sidi Bamalli declared Senator Khalid Ibrahim Mustafa Soba as winner after he polled 83,070 votes in an uncontested primary.
