Ajaka Congratulates Senator Natasha on Landmark Court Victory

By Omonu YG Nelson

Politician and business mogul, Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, has congratulated Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan on her Thursday’s court victory affirming her constitutional right to represent the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District.

In a congratulatory message sited by SummitPostNews on his verified Facebook page, Ajaka said, “I warmly congratulate Senator Natasha H Akpoti-Uduaghan on her recent court victory, affirming her constitutional right to represent the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District. This judgment is a landmark moment for democracy, justice, and the rule of law in Nigeria.”

Ajaka commended Justice Binta Nyako for her fair and thorough ruling, stating, “I also commend Justice Binta Nyako for her fair and thorough ruling, which carefully considered all sides of the case.”

On the suspension of Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, Ajaka noted that it was unlawful and set a dangerous precedent. “The suspension of a duly elected member of the National Assembly for months is unlawful and sets a dangerous precedent that has no place in our constitutional democracy.”

Ajaka criticized Senate President Godswill Akpabio, saying, “It is deeply troubling that Senate President Godswill Akpabio has normalized this abuse of power, using his office to intimidate and silence lawmakers who dare to uphold accountability and resist harassment.”

Ajaka called for Senate President Akpabio’s resignation, stating, “As citizens, we must not remain silent while our democratic institutions are being eroded. We must unite in demanding his immediate resignation, in light of the embarrassment and damage he has caused to the Nigerian Senate.”

Ajaka concluded by commending Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s courage and resilience, saying, “Once again, I commend your courage and resilience, Distinguished Senator. Your victory rekindles hope that truth and justice will ultimately prevail in Nigeria. Congratulations.”
