According to the statement, Ombugadu directed that ₦200,000 be given as support to each family that lost their loved ones, while the remaining balance is for the settlement of hospital bills and logistics.

Ame Wo Ba Eggon expressed appreciation to the donor for the succour extended to the deceased families at this trying time and prayed God to reward him immensely.

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has confirmed four deaths in the tragic accident involving three trucks.

Yahaya Sabo-Adikwu, Nasarawa State Sector Commander of the FRSC, who confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria, said the accident happened on Sunday, December 28.

According to the sector commander, the incident occurred when one of the trucks rammed into a procession from the Palace of the Aren Eggon, Paramount Ruler of the Eggon ethnic group, to Eggon Community Secondary School, venue of the annual carnival.
