AN OPEN LETTER TO THE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS OF NIGERIA.
The recent viral video showcasing a primary school pupil bravely shedding light on the shortcomings and lack of direction exhibited by the government across all levels and sectors cannot be ignored. The words spoken by this young individual may be uncomfortable, but they carry a weighty truth that demands immediate attention and action from those in power.
A hungry populace inevitably transforms into an angry one. It is crucial that the government acknowledges the frustrations and challenges faced by Nigerian citizens, particularly the escalating costs of living essentials, widespread hunger, and the prevailing sense of insecurity that plagues our society.
I write to you with a fervent plea to prioritize the resolution of these pressing issues. Of particular concern are the grievances of primary school teachers in the Federal Capital Territory who are being unjustly deprived of their rightful entitlements and allowances by the Area Council Chairmen and their associates. Such actions breed contempt, erode respect for authority, sow seeds of mistrust, foster moral decay, exacerbate insecurity, and pave the way for potential conflicts.
Let this letter serve as a resounding call to action. It is imperative that justice prevails if we are to combat the tide of injustice that currently prevails. Only through upholding fairness and accountability can we hope to quell the flames of discontent and pave the way for a more stable, secure, and prosperous future for all Nigerians.
Yours sincerely,
