A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, High Chief (Amb) Tony Ogah, has commened the Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for appointing him into his cabinet.
It would be recalled that Governor Bello, recently appointed Chief Ogah as Special Adviser on Stakeholders Relations.
In a statement, Chief Ogah said: “I’m very grateful to our pragmatic governor for finding me worthy of the appointment”.
The party chieftain, who also holds the chieftaincy title of Omoja Etemahi, promised to justify the confidence Governor Bello reposed in him. “My appointment has demonstrated clearly, the sterling leadership qualities Governor Bello possessed. He does his things on merit. That’s why he’s different from others. By the grace of God Almighty, I will do my best to justify his confidence in me.
“There’s no time to waste, we have to hit the ground running. APC in Kogi state is still the party to best. All hands must be on deck to ensure that all candidates vying for various positions on the platform of our party are delivered safe and sound.
“I have no doubt whatsoever that, with Bello’s performance, APC will have a smooth ride during the next month’s general elections”.
Speaking further, Ogah said:”Let me state this unequivocally that the Governor has ran an all inclusive and performance based governmemt, hence, I see no reason why the good people of Kogi will not reciprocate his good gesture.”
Chief Ogah identified unity as the strongest selling point the Bello-led administration and the APC.
“Because of the charismatic way he has conducted governmemt affairs under his watch, the governmemt and the ruling party have become an unbroken cord,” he said.
He used the opportunity to thank the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharm Jamiu Asuku, whom he described as an excellent organiser and administrator. “I wish to also thank the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharm Jamiu Asuku for his excellent organisational skills and administrative acumen”.
He pledged to work with him to effectively engage the Stakeholders that will culminate in the party’s victory in the next month’s general elections.
