Forum of All Progressives Congress (APC) Christian Politicians in Niger State has dissociated itself from a recent publication targeted at rubbishing the image of Christians in the State who have coexisted with the Muslim Ummah.
The convener of the Forum, Musa Ayuba Bawa Uregi stated this while briefing Journalists at the government house, Minna.
Bawa Uregi explained that the said publication which was claimed to have emanated from the Christian Association of Nigeria, Niger State Chapter is false as it was written out of the volition of the Media Aide of the CAN Chairman, Niger State Chapter, Dan Atori.
He maintained that “Dan Atori cannot speak for Nigerlites” and that CAN leadership is bold enough to speak for itself as well as be a signatory to its document.
The Convener of the APC Christian politicians in the state expressed concern over the publication which he said contains paragraphs that discredit the Gubernatorial candidate of their party Muhammed Umar Bago and his running mate Yakubu Garba.
He said the publication is aimed at tarnishing the image of Christians in the state and is unacceptable.
“We the Forum of APC Christian politicians in Niger State and our teeming supporters hereby dissociate themselves completely from the unofficial publication targeted at rubbishing the image of Christians in Niger State who have coexisted with our brothers and sisters from the Muslim Faith.
“Daniel Atori wrote the letter on his own volition”.
The Forum therefore called on all Christian Politicians and non politicians to mobilize and come out en masse to vote for APC in the forthcoming Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections.
