Defending Premier League champions Arsenal defeated Manchester City 3-0 to claim their 18th FA Community Shield title at Cardiff on Sunday.
The Gunners were a class above Manchester City as they controlled the whole game.
Riccardo Calafiori scored an early opener just 30 seconds into the game off a swift pass from Myles Lewis Skelly.
The defending champions responded with another goal from Kai Havertz thanks to an assist from the Gunners new winger Christian Tzolis at the 28th minute.
Enzo Maresca’s men had several chances to reduce the deficit with opportunities from Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku and Erling Haaland.
Tzolis secured his second assist of the game finding his captain Martin Odegaard in just minutes in the second half calmly finishing behind City’s Gianliugi Donnarumma.
The result earned Arsenal their 18th Community Shield title since 2024.
Meanwhile, Arsenal begin their title defence on Friday as they face Coventry City at home, while City host Bournemouth on Sunday for their season opener.
