Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and ex-Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi have arrived in their home states of Adamawa and Rivers, respectively, as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) kicks off its presidential primary election today.
Amaechi touched down in Port Harcourt on Monday to a warm reception from party stakeholders, while Atiku’s arrival in Adamawa signals intensifying political realignments within the opposition.
According to reports, delegates and party loyalists have converged in both states for the crucial contest, with supporters describing the moves as a major boost for the ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
