Atiku Vows to Reverse All Tinubu Policies if Elected in 2027

Former Vice President and 2027 presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar, has declared that should he win the upcoming election, he will reverse every policy and action undertaken by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Wednesday night, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate expressed deep disappointment in the current administration.

When asked what specific policy of President Tinubu he would reverse, Atiku responded unequivocally: “Everything is wrong with President Tinubu.”

Pressed further on whether he would completely overhaul the government’s achievements, he added, “Honestly, in my life, this is the worst administration I have seen in this country. I feel terribly disappointed.”

Atiku, once a political ally of President Tinubu, joined the ADC in 2025 as part of a broad coalition aimed at unseating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election.

He is among several high-profile politicians—including Peter Obi, Rauf Aregbesola, Rotimi Amaechi, David Mark, and Nasir El-Rufai—who joined the ADC between late 2025 and early 2026. Many of them, including Atiku, Aregbesola, Amaechi, and El-Rufai, were formerly allied with Tinubu at different stages of their political careers.

Atiku previously ran for the presidency in 2007 under the now-defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), a party originally formed by Tinubu. Aregbesola served as a commissioner under Tinubu during his tenure as Lagos State governor (1999–2007), while El-Rufai and Amaechi were part of the coalition that formed the APC in 2014. That alliance led to the APC’s victory in the 2015 presidential election, when the late Muhammadu Buhari defeated incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan.
