BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has reported a record $15.5 trillion in assets under management, following strong client inflows over the past year.
The company attracted $205 billion in new client money in the three months under review, bringing its total net inflows over the past 12 months to $869 billion, according to a report by the Financial Times.
BlackRock Chief Executive Officer, Larry Fink, said demand for capital was increasing across the global economy, with the company playing a growing role in how capital was deployed and managed.
“Demand for capital is growing across the global economy and BlackRock is increasingly at the centre of how that capital is deployed and managed,” Fink said.
The latest milestone further strengthens BlackRock’s position in the global investment industry, as the company continues to attract funds from clients seeking investment and asset management services.
