Christians across the globe have been urged to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Guest Speaker, Rev. John Benjamin stated this in a Church Service organised by Jalingo branch of CAN, held at the First Baptist Church, Jalingo, Taraba State.
He reminded believers that God is still working for their destiny, adding that Jesus Christ has resurrected from the dead and have gone to prepare a place for all believers in Him.
The Guest Speaker, who spoke on the Topic: THE POWER OF JESUS RESURRECTION, took his text from Mathew 28:5-7, urged Christians to always celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“Jesus Christ went through the Cross of calvary so as to connect us with the Father for the Power of his resurrection cannot be complete without the Cross. So, let us keep interceding and seeking the face of God.
He further took his scriptural readings from the books of Romans 1:4, 1Corth. 15:7, Rev.1:17-18, 1Thess 4:13-18 and Rev. 12:11 to expanciate more on his message.
He said that Jesus Christ resurrection assures believers of the forgiveness of their sins, adding that Christians are serving the living God.
According to him, the physical death is not the human existence, saying that it is not how long we live, but how we live.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Rev. Dr. Isaiah Jirapiye Magaji, represented by the State Chairman of TEKAN ECWA Block, Rev. Dr. Micah Dopah, appreciated Tarabans and Christians in the state for adhering to the direction of CAN during the governorship election.
“You obeyed your leaders, may God bless you.
“We have forgiven all those that goes contrary to our direction.”
He also appreciated the EXCO of CAN in the state for their cooperation and leadership qualities.
He called on Church leaders to maintain the integrity of the Church.
On the forthcoming Census exercise, the Chairman urged Christians to ensure that they are counted, saying that it will empower the governmemt to make proper planning.
