A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson on Wednesday urged the United States to honour its commitment to suspend nuclear tests and to stop seeking pretexts to resume them.
Spokesperson Mao Ning made the remarks at a daily press conference in response to recent U.S. allegations that China has conducted nuclear explosion tests.
Mr Mao noted relevant framing and smears by the United States against other countries to shirk its international arms control obligations, which would only seriously dent its own credibility.
