The President of the Southern Conference of the United Methodist Church Choir Ministry, Elder Ezra Ranti has urge Choristers to see the ministry as a call to serving God through songs.
He stated this while delivering his speech during the 42nd Annual Choir Convension at the UMCN Center of Grace Camp ground Appawa Zing Road, Lau Local Government Taraba State.
He reminded members that Choir Ministry comes with responsibilities.
“As Choir Ministry, our roles in evangelism and the development of Choir has increased greatly and become sacrosanct, therefore our mode of serving the Lord with substance of our hands must change.
“I therefore challenge us to sit-up and do the needful.
He call on members to rally round and support the Ministry towards actualizing the dream of having her own vehicle through freewill donations or car presentation.
Elder Ezra Ranti made a passionate appeal to the Choir groups to understand that position should not necessarily matter as the competition does not likened to a world competition were everyone wants to emerge as a winner at all cost as there is”no victor, no vanquish”.
He appreciated District Superintendent for their contributions towards ensuring that the Ministry stood the test of time.
“May I also cease this opportunity to appreciate all and sundry for their sacrifices and commitment towards positioning the ministry on the part of progress.
“Fellow Choristers, it may interest you to know that today, the Ministry celebrate her one year, three months of committed service, spiritual and musical growth as well as evangelism steadfastness.
“I will like to draw your attention to the fact that, being a ministry that comes with responsibilities. As a Choir Ministry, our roles in evangelism and development of Choir has increase greatly and become sacrosanct therefore our mode of serving the Lord with substance of our hands must change, so also our Christian life and Faith in Christ – he said.
“I will also like to thank the Dean of Cabinet Rev Dr. Phillip Micah Dopah and all District Superintendent, Pastors, Conference Executives and others that made the convention a success – he added.
