The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Cross River State, Senator Sandy Onor, has warned Cross Riverians to be weary of Ayade’s rush hour appointments, describing it as a gimmick to buy vote, ahead the forthcoming elections.
Senator Sandy, who stated this in Ogoja, while addressing journalists, ahead of the official flag off of the PDP governorship campaign, disclosed that the party has done enough sensitization of the electorates to neutralize such antics.
According to him, “the recent multiple appointment of permanent secretaries and ongoing scandalous employment into the civil service with flagrant disregard for established procedures are contraptions, conceived to deceive our people in a bid to curry electoral favours”
The governorship hopeful revealed that “his party opted to kick start the quest for the mandate to govern the State in church as a means of committing his aspiration to God, in order to guarantee divine backing, bearing in mind that power comes from God only”
In his words “the decision to start the journey of reclaiming our State with a view of restoring our lost glory was meant to replicate the steps taken by Nehemiah, when he opted to rebuild the fallen walls of Jerusalem
facet of our state, ranging from sports, tourism, security, agric, health, civil service , local government councils, basic amenities are in chaotic state.

“A man we entrusted with the task of administering our commonwealth for our collective benefits went haywire by hijacking our common patrimony for his paternal linage, thereby afflicting us with sorrows , pains, hunger, kidnappings and unabated exploitations
“I am seeking the mandate to become the next governor of our State because the situation we have found ourselves demands, a man driven by human compassion, vision, focus, proven intellectual acumen, competence and experience, not a product of ethnic chauvinism meant to perpetuate the current shenanigans”
On the state of affairs within the PDP in Cross River State, Senator Sandy revealed that the party is united, vibrant, bubbling and poised to banish charlatans from power in the State
