By Abasi Ita

Senator Eteng Williams Jones, representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, has received the Kingdom Pillar Award from Gold City Gospel International in recognition of his dedication to the advancement of the Kingdom of God and sustained support for faith based initiatives.

The award was presented on December 14, 2025, in Calabar during a ceremony organised to celebrate the Senator’s contributions to spiritual growth and community development. The citation described the award as recognition of Senator Jones’s unwavering commitment and support towards advancing God’s Kingdom on earth.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Trinity Ogar praised the Senator as a leader whose influence extends beyond politics, commending his consistent support for faith based causes that promote moral values, unity and positive social change.

In his response, Senator Eteng Williams expressed gratitude for the honour, noting that the recognition challenges him to further strengthen his contributions to the growth of God’s Kingdom.

The Senator, who was represented by Dr Treasure Butum, thanked the organisers for the award, describing it as renewed motivation to continue supporting efforts aimed at expanding the frontiers of the gospel.

He attributed the progress recorded in his political journey to God’s grace and mercy, and reaffirmed his commitment to the advancement of the Kingdom of God and the promotion of values that uplift society.

The Trinity Moses Foundation, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Dr Trinity Ogar, is a faith based and philanthropic organisation involved in Christian outreach, charitable activities and community upliftment, as well as the recognition of individuals who contribute to spiritual growth and positive societal impact.

The Kingdom Pillar Award underscores Senator Jones’s service to his constituents and the broader Christian community, as he reaffirmed his dedication to serving God and the people of Cross River State.
