Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe has extended warm Eid-ul-Kabir greetings to Muslim faithful across the country, calling on them to embrace and reflect the core values of obedience, sacrifice, compassion, tolerance, and full submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
In his message marking the 2026 Eid celebration, the Senator described the festival as a profound reminder of faith and devotion, anchored on the story of Prophet Ibrahim, who demonstrated absolute trust in God through his willingness to sacrifice in obedience to divine instruction.
He urged Muslims to internalise the lessons of Eid-ul-Kabir and live by its principles in their daily interactions, stressing that such values are essential in building peace, strengthening unity, and advancing development across Cross River North, Cross River State, and the nation at large.
The lawmaker also underscored the need for sustained religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians of all backgrounds, noting that meaningful national progress can only be achieved in an atmosphere of harmony, shared responsibility, and mutual respect.
He further encouraged citizens to continue praying for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Nigeria, while also showing kindness and support to vulnerable and less privileged persons during the festive period.
As part of his gesture towards the celebration, Senator Jarigbe donated ₦5.5 million to Muslim communities in Cross River North Senatorial District to support their Eid festivities and ensure a joyful observance.
He concluded by wishing all Muslims in Nigeria and across the world a peaceful, joyful, and spiritually enriching Eid-ul-Kabir celebration.
