10th Senate: 76 Non-serving Senators Endorse Akpabio

As the race for who leads the 10th Nigerian senate reaches home stretch, seventy-six (76) Non-serving Senators of the All Progressive Congress have endorsed the candidature of Senator Godswill Akpabio and Senator Barau Jibril for the position of Senate President and Deputy Senate President.
The Convener of the forum, Senator Bashir Lado disclosed this at the caucus of the ex-senators and Some serving senator- Elects meeting in Abuja.
Senator Lado emphasized that their stance on the candidacy of Senators Akpabio and Jibril was in tandem with the  position of the APC National Working Committee and President-Elect Senator Bola Tinubu and therefore called on other gladiators to support the ticket for national stability.

Responding, the aspirant, Senator Godswill Akpabio thanked them for  endorsing him and gave assurance that he would provide what he described as an uncommon style of legislative leadership if elected.
The Governor of Cross River state Professor Ben Ayade while commending the leadership style of Senator Akpabio Maintained that he remained the best man for the job and that the elders of the South-South were solidly behind him.
