The President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has announced that petrol will be available in the Nigerian market within 48 hours, depending on the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
Speaking during an interview with Channels Television, Dangote revealed that the $20 billion refinery will soon finalize talks with NNPCL to distribute the product to Nigerians.
“The PMS can be on filling stations in the next 48 hours, depending on NNPCL,” Dangote said.
Regarding the price of petrol, Dangote noted that it will be determined by the Federal Executive Council headed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“On PMS price, it is an arrangement that is designed and approved by the Federal Executive Council led by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. As soon as it is finalized, which is what he is pushing once he finishes with FEC meeting, it can be today or tomorrow we are ready to roll out in the market,” he added.
This development comes as Dangote officially announced the first rollout of petrol from its 650,000 per day Lagos-based refinery on Tuesday in Lagos.
