The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has chosen former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the party’s National Chairman, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Duke emerged winner of the presidential primary with a total of 6,499 votes. He was followed by Kingsley Yakubu, who secured 2,699 votes on a platform centered on youth inclusion and economic reforms, while Dr. Nnaoke Ufere, a scholar and policy expert, came third with 784 votes.
Baba-Ahmed described the exercise as transparent, credible, and fair. He also advised any aspirants with complaints to channel their grievances to the party’s Appeal Committee for proper consideration.
