The newly inaugurated Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Mohammed Isa Kida, has cautioned staff not to mistake his simplicity for weakness.
Kida issued the warning during his inaugural address as the fourth substantive Vice-Chancellor of FULafia.
Outlining the focus of his administration, in a speech marked by clarity and resolve, he pledged to sustain the momentum established by his predecessor, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman.
He assured the university community that his administration would continue with the good works started by Abdul Rahman and consolidate on the steady progress already made.
Kida, a professor of accounting, emphasized the need for collective actions and responsibility in advancing the university’s mandate.
He urged academic and non-teaching staff, students, and governing bodies to support his administration.
Kida stressed that achieving institutional stability and academic excellence would require commitment and discipline from all, appealing for cooperation and understanding “for our administration to succeed.”
