A former Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Faisal Shuaib, has donated digital equipment and cash worth ₦70 million to support the ongoing membership electronic registration of the All Progressives Congress, APC across Nasarawa State.
Shuaib, who has expressed interest in succeeding Governor Abdullahi Sule in 2027, made the donation on Wednesday at the party secretariat in Lafia.
Speaking during the presentation, the gubernatorial aspirant commended President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda as remarkable and praised Governor Sule for providing exceptional leadership anchored on human capital advancement, infrastructure development, education, energy development, and solid mineral exploration through local and foreign investments.
He emphasized that the donation would expedite broader objectives in improving data accuracy, enhancing transparency, and eliminating membership duplication.
The gubernatorial aspirant stated that his campaign team decided to donate ₦70 million worth of digital equipment and cash to the state, local government, and ward levels of the party to support party reforms.
He also praised the Dr. Aliyu Bello-led State Working Committee for effectively coordinating the e-registration exercise.
The former NPHCDA boss expressed optimism in the party’s commitment to electoral victory in the forthcoming general elections, adding that the reforms in the party reflect progress and internal democracy.
In his remarks, State APC Chairman Dr. Aliyu Bello urged party members to unite for victory in the 2027 elections, calling on aggrieved contenders to respect party ideals to effectively actualize their political interests.
Some of the donated items include all-in-one desktop computers, high-capacity printers, internet routers, hundreds of cartons of A-4 papers, and tens of millions of Naira for all structures of the party.
