Dr. Vincent Paul: A Philanthropic Trailblazer And Academic Luminary

By Audu Esson Ambagaka, Keffi

Dr. Vincent Paul is a force to be reckoned with. As a renowned entrepreneur, academic, and philanthropist, he has dedicated his life to driving positive change and empowering students, youth, and communities. Dr. Paul, popularly known as the “Permanent Ambassador of Kindness” (#PAK), has an impressive record of philanthropic work.

He is a highly creative and innovative professional with reliable, productive skills. As the founder of the Entrepreneurship Multi-purpose Co-operative Society (EMCOS) Limited, he serves as a motivational speaker, delivering lectures on the interconnectedness of entrepreneurship across all areas of human endeavor—including family business management and succession planning for a sustainable life. Furthermore, he is a grassroots mobilizer of entrepreneurial activities aimed at fostering self-reliance and creating employment.

As a university lecturer, Dr. Paul has become a favorite among students and staff due to his simplicity in handling complex issues, his hard work, and his dedication to service. Through his mentorship and scholarship, he has established himself as a role model within the Faculty of Administration at Nasarawa State University.

Dr. Paul’s work embodies the spirit of service and excellence. His tireless efforts have improved lives, bridged gaps, restored hope, and inspired a new generation of leaders. He is a highly sought-after resource person for family, community, and entrepreneurial business matters. Despite his success, he lives a simple life, prioritizing the well-being of others over the accumulation of personal wealth.

In his community of Tudu Amama Keffi, Dr. Paul utilizes his resources to construct roads, engages women to maintain community cleanliness, and mobilizes resources for security. He remains visibly present and active among his people. In his quest to help youth become self-employed, he founded a Multi-Purpose Cooperative—the first of its kind in a Nigerian university—to promote students’ ideas and provide them with start-up capital.

As a Deputy Director UNDP, he values the elderly in society, frequently visiting them to provide financial support, medication, and general care. If you have an idea, Dr. Vincent Paul is someone who will help you develop it and better your life.

Beyond his academic role, he is involved in building construction and consultancy services. He is a disciplined and respected individual who lives by the philosophy that “service to humanity is service to God.” As the former Secretary General of the Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA), he remains deeply involved in the activities of his people, regularly presenting papers and contributing to the unity and development of society.

In his academic career, Dr. Vincent Paul has approximately 64 publications to his credit and has supervised numerous undergraduate projects, Master’s theses, and PhD dissertations.
