Dr Kenneth Ibe-Kalu, Convener and President of Heavenly Scribe Ministry International has called on Nigerians to utilise the Easter period to thank God for his sacrifices and provisions.
Ibe-Kalu made the call at the church’s programme titled
“Feast of Thanksgiving “in Abuja .
According to him, the inspiration of the programme was given to him by the Almighty God to gather His children to thank Him because they are not thanking Him enough.
“So we commenced this programme in 2013, it is a platform where we gather to give thanks unto God and to teach the body of Christ the importance of thanksgiving to God.
“The topic for today is understanding the place of thanksgiving in a believer’s life.
Thanksgiving is showing gratitude ;God who created the heavens and the earth and gave us the whole earth does He not require that we thank Him?
“What programmes do we have or put in place regularly to thank Him for what he has done ? Since he gave us the leverage to use everything he has created .
“You and I know that the only thing He
requires of us partially is tithe and the next thing is thanksgiving.
“Always show him appreciation that what you have didn’t come from your sense alone, it came from a God who puts the ideas and the inspirations.
“Like Job said ,there is a spirit in man and the inspiration of the Almigjtty is what gives man understanding and ideas to be able to produce the things we use.”
Ibe-Kalu therefore, said that man is obligated to thank the giver of all things who is the higher being God.
He said that the Easter season which signified a very beautiful season in the history of mankind .
“This is the time we celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ, just like Jesus raised Lazarus from the death in John 11.
“What is happening is Jesus’s death and resurrection and it is what granted us salvation and gave us redemption from sin.
“So my message to Nigerians is that we must use this period solemnly to remember the price Jesus paid on the cross and we should also make up our minds to go to him to help us in purging our sins and to actualise our destinies, “ he said.
