Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, has extended warm Christmas greetings to his constituents, calling on them to embrace peace, love, unity and compassion during the festive season.
In his Christmas message, the senator described the season as one of profound spiritual significance, anchored on the birth of Jesus Christ, whom he said remains a beacon of hope, love and redemption for humanity. He urged residents to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas by promoting forgiveness, togetherness and care for one another.
As part of his commitment to the spirit of giving, Senator Williams announced the continuation of his annual Season of Sweetness initiative aimed at spreading joy and easing the burden of the festivities for constituents.
He disclosed that thousands of bags of rice would be distributed across various Local Government Areas within Cross River Central Senatorial District and beyond. He added that the items to be shared also include cows, food hampers, cash support and other essentials to ensure a joyful and fulfilling Christmas and New Year celebration for families.
The lawmaker expressed optimism that the season would usher in blessings, good health, peace and prosperity for households across the district.
