FCT LEA Teachers’ Forum Congratulates Newly Sworn-In Area Council Chairmen, Urges Focus on Teachers’ Welfare

‎The FCT LEA Teachers’ Forum has congratulated all newly elected Area Council Chairmen of the Federal Capital Territory on their victory and assumption of office, praying that their tenure brings transparency, accountability and people-oriented development.

‎On behalf of the forum, Secretary Comrade Imam Ahmed M. said: “On behalf of the FCT LEA Teachers’ Forum, we congratulate all newly elected Area Council Chairmen of the Federal Capital Territory on your victory and assumption of office. We pray God grants you wisdom, strength, good health, and the fear of God as you lead. May your tenure be marked by transparency, accountability, and people-oriented development that improves the lives of citizens.”

‎The forum gave special recognition to Hon. Christopher Zakah Maikalangu, AMAC Chairman, on his emergence as the new FCT ALGON Chairman. “Special congratulations to Hon. Christopher Zakah Maikalangu, AMAC Chairman, on your emergence as the new FCT ALGON Chairman. Your new role comes with added responsibility, and we trust your leadership will inspire progress across all Area Councils,” Comrade Imam Ahmed M. stated.

‎The teachers’ group used the message to remind the new leadership of long-standing challenges facing FCT LEA teachers, stressing that the issues directly affect welfare, productivity and morale. “As you settle in, we remind you that the challenges of FCT LEA teachers are long-standing and directly affect welfare, productivity, and morale. We are confident that your experience within the system positions you to address these issues. We look forward to renewed commitment and prioritization of teachers’ welfare,” the statement said.

‎Comrade Imam Ahmed M. emphasized the link between valuing education and valuing teachers, adding: “A society that values education must value its teachers. Investing in teachers is investing in our children’s future.”

‎The forum concluded by wishing the chairmen successful tenures and praying that their administration brings hope, progress and lasting positive change to FCT residents. “Once again, congratulations. We wish you successful tenures and pray your leadership brings hope, progress, and lasting positive change to FCT residents. May this administration bring relief, justice, and improved welfare to FCT LEA teachers and all residents,” Comrade Imam Ahmed M. said.
