Veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji received a touching show of support during his recent hospitalization at the National Hospital in Abuja. Among those who visited him were prominent figures like the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and Hajia Nana Shettima, the wife of the Vice President.
Senator Tinubu’s visit came as part of celebrating the first baby born in the new year at the hospital, but she also took the opportunity to check on Mr. Orji. While details of their conversation remain private, their encounter lasted for approximately 13 minutes, offering a warm gesture of care and concern.
News also emerged that Mr. Orji’s health has been on the mend since his admission. Sources pointed to the prompt intervention of the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, as playing a crucial role in his improvement.
Tayo Hastrup, the National Hospital Public Relations Officer, confirmed this positive development: “He has started talking. He is in stable condition. His wife is by his side. We really thank God for him.”
Earlier reports had outlined Orji’s hospitalization following a medical incident at his home. This visit from the First Lady and other notable figures, alongside reports of his progress, brings a heartwarming update to the story of this beloved Nollywood icon.
