2022: Ayewosai Global Foundation Lavishes Widows, Vulnerable With Food Items

180 widows and vulnerable persons in Minna, Niger State have benefited from the 2022 annual distribution of food items by the Aye-wosai Global Foundation; a non governmental organisation.The event which was part of the end of the year activities of the Foundation, also featured the launch of its maiden Magazine.

Founder of the Foundation Mrs Mary Noel-Berje who is also the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, said the gesture was one of the Foundation’s ways of putting smiles on the less privileged people in the society.

She explained that Aye-wosai Global Foundation has over the years embarked on several humanitarian services to the people across over 5 communities including IDP camps.

The Founder highlighted some of activities of the Foundation to include sensitization Rallies on issues or polices that cut across every aspect of life as it affects the people especially women, children and youths, distribution of food and non-food items like toiletries and clothing, support in the area of education and medical assistance.

She said though the Foundation has not had enough, she believes in the saying “any person that cannot share the little they have cannot share with anyone when they get much”.

Mrs Noel-Berje further disclosed that the Foundation which has so far reached out to over a thousand persons was bathed about 10 years ago out of her love for humanity and the need to support women and children who are mostly at the receiving end of crisis or insecurity.

According to her, “I observed that lack of love in the society has made so many people to keep mute on issues that affects them negatively hence I decided to “break the silence with love through Aye-wosai Global Foundation”.

She appreciated some partners of the Foundation like the Victim Support Fund (VSF) and ACOMIN for their support so far, and urged well to do individuals in the society to partner the foundation to be able to break more grounds and scale-up the number of beneficiaries.

The Guest Speaker, Mr Samuel Saidu Yisa urged people to emulate the selfless lifestyle of Mrs Mary Noel-Berje while praying God to reward her for committing her resources and time for the poor.

He also used the platform to enjoin electorate to vote for credible and selfless leaders that would improve the living standard of the masses.

In their separate goodwill messages, the  General Manager NTA Minna, Alh. Munir Badamasi Atiku, and guests from other walks of life including Baba Muhammed Zukogyi, Barr. Evelyn Maku, Mr Habila Daniel Diko and Richard Umar applauded the founder of Aye-wosai Global Foundation for her love for humanity while pledging their continued support.

Also speaking in n interview, the Chairman, of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Niger State Council, Comrade Abu Nmodu commended the Foundation for the gesture and appealed to other NGOs to emulate the initiative.

Some of the high points of the event were the unveiling of the maiden magazine that captured the activities of the organization.
