FRSC Commends Officers for Effective Eid-el-Kabir Traffic Operations

The Federal Road Safety Corps has praised its personnel participating in the ongoing Eid-el-Kabir special patrol exercise across the country, citing their dedication and professionalism in maintaining road safety and easing traffic movement during the festive season.

The commendation was given by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, after receiving feedback from monitoring teams dispatched from the organisation’s headquarters to assess operations nationwide.

In a statement released on Monday by the Corps Public Education Officer, Deputy Corps Commander Osondu Ohaeri, Mohammed expressed satisfaction with the conduct and efficiency displayed by officers and marshals engaged in the exercise.

According to him, the commitment shown by personnel has played a major role in reducing traffic challenges and enhancing safety on major roads during the celebration period.

The Corps Marshal noted that the achievements recorded so far were made possible through the combined efforts of FRSC personnel and the cooperation of motorists who complied with traffic regulations and safety directives.

While applauding the workforce for their efforts, Mohammed urged them to remain focused and maintain the same level of commitment until the special patrol operation concludes.

He also called on road users to continue observing traffic rules, stressing that road safety requires collective responsibility from both enforcement agencies and motorists.

The FRSC boss warned against dangerous driving practices, including speeding, reckless overtaking, overloading vehicles and using mobile phones behind the wheel, noting that such violations remain major contributors to road crashes across the country.

He advised drivers to exercise patience, caution and discipline on the roads, emphasizing that a single mistake can have serious consequences.

The Corps reaffirmed its determination to sustain enforcement activities, public awareness campaigns, traffic control measures and emergency rescue services to ensure a safe and seamless post-Eid travel experience for Nigerians.
