Gov. Ademola Adeleke: God’s Fortified Man at All Times, Says Aare Asejere

With just 32 days to the Osun State governorship election, all indicators and the prevailing political atmosphere continue to suggest that Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election bid is both realistic and achievable.

‎

‎The political landscape has undergone a remarkable transformation, largely driven by Governor Ademola Adeleke’s growing popularity and his natural connection with the people. This widespread acceptance strongly suggests that a resounding victory awaits Senator Ademola Adeleke on August 15

‎

‎Even before the official commencement of his re-election campaign, the Asiwaju of Ede and passionate son of Osun State had already begun receiving overwhelming and unprecedented support from the people, irrespective of their religious or political affiliations. Popularly known as the “Mopo Arogun” son, Governor Adeleke remains a formidable force in any electoral contest.

‎

‎I recently conducted an assessment of key sectors that directly impact the lives of the people, regardless of religion or political affiliation. These sectors include road infrastructure, education, youth empowerment, healthcare delivery, workers’ welfare and agriculture.

‎

‎Governor Ademola Adeleke’s performance in these critical sectors is best measured by the tangible impact his administration has made on the lives of the people.

‎

‎For instance, the Adeleke administration has initiated and completed major road projects across several prominent towns in Osun State, including Osogbo, Ile-Ife, Ilesa, Iwo, Ede, Ikirun and Ila-Orangun.

‎

‎In Osogbo alone, available records indicate that Governor Adeleke has completed about 52 township roads. This is in addition to two iconic flyover bridges along the Oke-Fia–Government House corridor and the recently commissioned flyover at the popular Lameco Roundabout. The administration has also completed the dualisation of the Old Garage–Oke-Fia Road and the Government House–Agunbelewo Road.

‎

‎Governor Ademola Adeleke also deserves commendation for completing the dualisation of Ilesa Road, stretching from the Owa Obokun’s Palace at Ereja Square to the Imole Brewery/Akure Road Junction in Ilesa.

‎

‎Similarly, the Governor broke a long-standing jinx in Iwo by constructing a dual carriageway from the Oluwo’s Palace to the Odo-Ori area of the town. His administration has equally recorded remarkable progress in Ila-Orangun, where the dualisation of a major road within the ancient town has been substantially completed.

‎

‎Beyond road infrastructure, Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration has also recorded notable achievements in the healthcare sector. One of the administration’s landmark initiatives is the free enrollment of retired civil servants into the Osun Health Insurance Scheme, giving them seamless access to quality healthcare services.

‎

‎The Governor recently expanded this initiative by approving the free enrollment of all traditional rulers in Osun State, alongside their wives, into the Osun Health Insurance Scheme.

‎

‎These achievements, among many others, continue to strengthen public confidence in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s leadership and reinforce the belief that his administration has delivered meaningful dividends of democracy to the people of Osun State.
