Gov Agbu Kefas Declares Winner of APC Governorship Primary in Taraba

The Governor of Taraba State, His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas, has been declared the winner of the just concluded Governorship primary of the All Progressive Congress APC in Taraba State.

Declaring the result, the Chairperson of the election committee said the conduct of the primary election reflected the will of the people, adding that integrity and due process were maintained throughout the exercise.

According to the results earlier announced by the Returning Officer of the election, Governor Agbu Kefas won the primary with a total of 166,357 votes, while Muazu Jaji pulled 4,110 votes.

In his acceptance speech, Governor Agbu Kefas, assured the people of the state of his continued commitment to providing leadership with fairness, humility, and dedication to the welfare and progress of Taraba State.

He said the victory was not his alone but belonged to every member of the party across the state.

He appreciated the leadership of the party at all levels for their support and confidence in his leadership, as well as the people of Taraba State for their continued trust and cooperation.

The Governor also commended his fellow Aspirants, noting that democracy provides an opportunity for all voices to be heard.

According to him, the period of contest is now over, and the time has come for unity and collective action toward the continued development of the state.

Governor Agbu Kefas emphasized that his focus remains on building a stronger APC and a more prosperous Taraba State

“The contest is now over. The time has come for unity and collective action toward the continued development of our state.

“I appreciate the leadership of our party at all levels for their support and confidence in our administration, as well as the people of Taraba for their continued trust and cooperation.

“I reaffirm my commitment to providing leadership anchored on fairness, humility, and dedication to the welfare and progress of Taraba State – he said.

Members of the APC Governorship Primary Election Committee were at the Government House in Jalingo to officially present the election results to Governor Agbu Kefas.
