Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger has reassured the people of the state of his administration’s commitment to completing all ongoing road projects.
The governor reaffirmed this when he inspected some road projects in Bida on Sunday.
Some of the road projects inspected by the governor included the Minna-Bida dual carriageway legacy road project and the bridge linking the Minna-Abuja road.
Mr Bago also inspected the ongoing 44-kilometre ring road project and the interchange bridge at the Western bypass in Bida.
The ring road project, when completed, is expected to mitigate traffic congestion usually caused by articulated vehicles in Bida town, reduce environmental pollution, and road accidents.
Mr Bago equally inspected the 11-kilometre dual carriageway from Bida, connecting the Bida western bypass, which has reached 70 per cent completion.
Also inspected was the road leading to the Emir’s palace in Bida town.
All the mega road projects embarked upon by the farmer-governor are part of his “New Rebuilding Processes” under his “New Niger Agenda” to better the lives of residents of the state.
