“Security agencies have been fully empowered and coordinated to protect lives, property, and livelihoods across the state.

According to him, food security, livestock reform, and land administration as strategic priorities for 2026, stressing that Taraba must feed itself sustainably while contributing responsibly to national food supply.

“The state’s commitment to modern livestock practices anchored on ranching, veterinary services, and conflict prevention, alongside transparent and equitable land reforms.

On mining and natural resources, he said,

“Taraba State fully respects the constitutional authority of the Federal Government over solid minerals, the state will not tolerate illegal mining, environmental degradation, or the use of mineral routes to fund insecurity.

He emphasized ongoing collaboration with the Federal Government and relevant agencies to ensure that mining activities are lawful, environmentally responsible, security-compliant, and beneficial to host communities.

The Governor underscored continued investments in education, infrastructure, healthcare, energy, and grassroots development, with a focus on extending government presence to rural and hard-to-reach communities.

He announced plans to expand development areas and strengthen local participation to ensure inclusive growth.

He further pledged to revive cultural activities and sports development as tools for unity, youth engagement, and social cohesion, describing Taraba’s diversity as a strength that must be harnessed for peace and progress.

On misinformation, the Governor urged citizens to rely on verified information and reject incitement, stating that his administration remains focused on delivery, transparency, and unity.

“2026 will be a year of peace with strength, progress with purpose, and prosperity with inclusion,” Governor Kefas said, calling on traditional rulers, religious leaders, farmers, pastoralists, youths, women, professionals, and political leaders to work together for the collective success of the state.

The Governor reaffirmed his oath to govern with justice, protect every life, leave no community behind, and build a safe, productive, and united Taraba State.
