The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on Wednesday commissioned the newly reconstructed and remodeled Taraba State House of Assembly Complex, a project spearheaded by Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas.
The ceremony, held in Jalingo, the state capital, marked the unveiling of a state-of-the-art facility aimed at enhancing legislative functions.
In his remarks, Governor Fintiri lauded Kefas for his vision and commitment to development. “This milestone reflects a dedication to fostering a conducive environment for legislative work. It is yet another demonstration of democracy delivering tangible benefits to the people,” Fintiri said.
He also praised Kefas for a series of transformative projects, including recent upgrades to the Government House and other key infrastructure in the state.
Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, John Kizito Bonzena, expressed gratitude for what he described as the first significant upgrade to the assembly complex since its construction in 1994. “This is now the best facility of its kind in the country,” Bonzena said, commending Kefas for his focus on empowering lawmakers through infrastructure and training initiatives.
The event featured cultural performances, drawing praise for its vibrant atmosphere and showcasing Taraba’s rich heritage.
The remodeled complex is expected to bolster legislative efficiency and contribute to the broader developmental strides in the state.
