Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has reaffirmed his commitment to leading the charge against criminal elements in the state. During the commissioning of the Police Quick Response Office, a project completed within 90 days, Governor Ododo stated, “I am here to defeat criminals, not just do my best.”
Statement signed by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Isa, eemphasised his administration’s dedication to combating crime and ensuring the safety and security of lives and property in Kogi State. “We are winning the war against insecurity, and we are very intentional about our work to strengthen the state’s security architecture,” he added.
Governor Ododo commended the security agencies’ dedication and sacrifices, pledging to continue prioritizing technological enablers to enhance intelligence-gathering capabilities. He also acknowledged President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to addressing security challenges nationwide, expressing the full support of the Kogi State government and people.
The Governor urged citizens to remain vigilant and provide credible information to security agencies, saying, “We must work together to eradicate criminal elements from every part of the state.” The Metropolitan Quick Response Squad, a collaborative effort with the Nigeria Police and the state’s Joint Task Force, aims to ensure a safe environment for all residents and visitors in Kogi State.
With this initiative, Governor Ododo demonstrates his determination to lead the fight against criminals and make Kogi State a safer place for everyone.
