Hon. Saa Emerson Lamina, Deputy Leader of Government Business Two in the Sierra Leone Parliament and a Member of Sierra Leone’s Delegation to the ECOWAS Parliament has asked H.E Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission about:
“What’s the bottleneck affecting the completion of the Kono University of Science and Technology that the Government of Sierra Leone has provided Two Million United States dollars and should have been completed in three years since 2021.”
Hon. Lamina charged:
“ECOWAS is not doing much.”
Hon. Emerson however asked:
“When will this project be completed.”
In his response, the President of the ECOWAS Commission Dr. Touray said that he will find out what has caused the delay since EBID has approved the project.
“Multilateral agencies shouldn’t take too much time to disburse funding for approved projects,” he said.
