The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) original result slips, enabling candidates to begin printing the documents required for admission processes.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, the board said candidates would be able to access and print their original result slips within hours of the announcement.
According to JAMB, the document contains essential details such as candidates’ photographs, national rankings and security features required by tertiary institutions for post-UTME screening and admission consideration.
The board noted that candidates can print the slips from any internet-enabled device or visit accredited business centres for assistance.
JAMB advised candidates to carefully verify the information on their result slips after printing and keep copies for future admission-related procedures.
The board explained that the delay in releasing the original result slips was due to the completion of examinations for foreign-based candidates and the conduct of the mop-up examination for candidates affected by technical and biometric challenges during the main UTME.
The 2026 UTME was conducted in April, while the mop-up examination took place on June 13. Results of the mop-up exercise were released on June 16.
With the original result slips now available, candidates can proceed with post-UTME registrations and other admission processes for the 2026/2027 academic session, as many institutions have already commenced or are preparing to begin their screening exercises.
