Jenpetel Football Club (JP FC) has emerged as the winner of the Major General SINJEN Jenjo Inter-community Unity football Tournament. The tournament, which commenced on April 1, 2025, featured over 32 Jenjo communities and was organized in preparation for the Mihu Festival scheduled for May 2-3, 2025.
The final match took place on April 30, 2025, at the BR SINJEN Sports and Cultural Event Center between Jenpetel and Tunga Ladan. Jenpetel Football Club (JP FC) defeated Tunga Ladan Football Club (T.land FC) in a penalty shootout to claim the top spot.
Taraba State Commissioner of Women Affairs and Child Development, Hon. Mary SINJEN, presented the trophies to the winners. She expressed her pleasure at attending the grand finale, which was proudly sponsored by her husband, Major General B. R. Sinjen.
The commissioner praised the event, saying it was an inspiring display of unity, talent, and sportsmanship. She emphasized that events like this remind us of the power of sports in fostering peace, community spirit, and youth engagement.
